Our community has lost a dear Father, Husband and Friend in Mike Vetrano. Mike passed suddenly on July 10, 2010 leaving behind his wife Lorri and his daughter Stephanie. Mike has touched our lives in many ways. Our Viera Suntree Little League Softball Family benefited immensely from his dedication to photographing our children in action. Mike will be sorely missed by all.
Stephanie is a valued member of the Viera Suntree Little League Softball 9-10 All Star Team. Both Viera Suntree Little League 9-10 and Majors Softball Teams are still involved in All Star competition.
We all want to be able to help Lorri and Stephanie in any way possible; finances are always a burden to families in these situations.
We are asking families involved with Viera Suntree Little League to show their support to Lorri and Stephanie by helping us in a Fund Drive for the family.
VSLL is supporting a “Vetrano Family Fund".
Participate in the “ALL STAR DRIVE FOR RUNS” program, organized by Suzanne Sanborn, coach of the Majors All-Star team.
Here are the details:
To honor Mike in the forum that we all remember him … for every run scored by the Viera Suntree All Stars for the remainder of the Viera Suntree All Star Season; for both the 9-10 and Majors Softball teams, we ask for a donation to the Vetrano Family Fund.
This should not be considered a “fund-raiser” but simply a gift from the heart.
We encourage you to involve those outside of our baseball/softball community to participate. Invite them to the games. Ask them to show their support for a family that has been dealt a difficult situation. For those who have the ability to forward this beyond our community, I encourage you to do so.
You may use the attached sheet to record your donations. Feel free to use the cover letter, as well (also attached) to introduce the “ALL STAR DRIVE FOR RUNS”.
A bank account is being established in the names of Lorri and Stephanie Vetrano to hold these donations. Checks are to be made to Lorri & Stephanie Vetrano. Ideally we would like to collect donations when both teams have completed their All Star run. (Fixed amount donations are also welcomed.) You may mail your collected donations to the address below; or turn in in person.
